As a Graphic Designer, both for love and career, I have found myself develop into a charismatic, enthusiastic, open minded and above all else creative individual. Many people have a range of specialities. However I like to look at myself as a focussed and targeted individual that produces work to the highest calibre within graphic design, typography, branding and web design.

Branding
Logo design is something I pride myself on, while I can offer the best advice possible I like to give the client exactly what they need. If its a brand you need, a logo or if you just need your current brand refreshing please check out my work.
Web Design
I use the 960 grid to develop clean and precise layouts using elements that are completly created from scratch. No part of my design process includes stock design elements which is something Im pleased I can offer.

Custom Icon Design
Social Media is ever present online today, with this in mind more and more clients require custom icon designs, be it for social use on their website or to turn their current logo into a social icon. My custom icons are designed with the look and feel of your brand/website.
Typography
As a keen typographer I can produce stunning layouts but also consider the arrangement, the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, leading, tracking and adjusting the kerning. So if its a brochure, a flyer, a book or a poster, it will be designed with accuracy down to the last detail.

A fresh brand identity for a new start-up company. The idea was to create something very simple and iconic that represents the lens of a camera.

Triology
The brief was to create a brand new identity for Triology Multi Sport Solutions. A fitting studio for tri-athletes. The brand needed to incorporate 3 colours and 3 symbols.

DJ Trow
A retro vintage looking logo for an up coming DJ from Sheffield UK called DJ Trow! The brief was to create a bespoke type logo of the word Trow.
Hair By Redford
A website created in collaboration with Wonder Stuff Studio in Newcastle. The site is for a new hairdressing salon opening very shortly.

Dot Net Solutions
A logo and website rebrand for a leading Microsoft partner called Dot Net Solutions. The old logo was very dated, the company wanted a new glossy, glass style logo. The new website will reflect Microsofts new Metro UI.

Tiki Tiki
Identity for a Tropical Bar & Kitsche Inn due to open in Stockton. The brief was to create a brand identity that felt was not too serious and had the Hawaiian surf Tiki theme.
Toni Elissa Baker
Branding and brochure site created for Toni Elissa Baker who is an upcoming make-up artist. The idea was to create a website which showed the stunning photography of her work as large as possible for maximum impact.

e-Shout Solutions Ltd
Branding of a web design company which can be used online and for print. The unique speech bubble enabled the logo to be doubled as social branding and also employee signatures.

Domino Effect
Retro style logo created for a band called Domino Effect. Using a typeface only subtle changes were made then effects were applied in Photoshop to give a grunge metallic feel.
Damian Kidd Branding
The idea was to design and develop a new brand identity for myself using my initials DK. The logo was first hand drawn, using pencil and a circle stencil, then traced around using Illustrator.
Anti Bloody Something
A poster based project based on ideas and observations that I find amusing. The anti-helvetica, anti-conductor and anti-abbreviation clubs.
Zee Monsters
Zee Monsters is a personal project of mine. Where I have created 4 characters with more to follow. They are called Zee Monsters and they live on Zee World. All of the characters names begin with z apart from xixi, it sounds like Zee.
Nucleus Typeface
A typeface entitled 'Nucleus'. Each letter is created from 360 seperate spikes that all link to the centre. Printing at different sizes causes distortion so that the type face always seems different. This is a work in progress...
Dirty Disco
Dirty Disco Branding for Teesside Universities Students' Union. A fresh new approach to the Students' Union weekly event on a Friday night. Stickers, posters, flyers & t-shirts were created.
Nu-Fangled
A concept web design and branding for a new app company. Custom social icons were also developed to use on the site.
New York Photography
Personal exploration of the big apple! This project was a simple approach to photographs taken in New York City whilst studying graphic design. They represent some of my fondest memories.
3 Minutes
"What would you do or feel if you knew you only had 3 minutes to live?" My interpretation consists of utilising the Fibonacci sequence to create a bold typographic approach.The colour represents the change in the mood of the individuals responsible for writing the quotes.
Useful Productions
A whole front-end web design which included designing every page, from home to contact. I worked very closely with the company to get the exact look they wanted to achieve.
